I've got an idea, that would fix our QB situation for the short term... We know how Martz likes guys who already know his system... Nolan has been quoted in saying that he would look at a veteran QB... So you ready for it (drumroll please)...
Kurt Warner
Thats right, Kurt Warner. He has already talked about not being happy has a backup (left NY and STL because of it). If there is one quarterback who is getting paid too much not to play, it has to be pretty boy Leinart (don't get me wrong, loved the guy in USC). So what a better fit, than with the Niners. He could walk right into the offense and school Alex in the ways of the Martz-O. It would be a win-win. But here's to wishful thinking... And a long season of O'Sully under center.

Part of me says no 'cause he's old and he's a stop gap.
But part of me says yes 'cause he's a stop gap and quite frankly we have nobody at QB at the moment anyway.
So whatever, better than anything we got.

NO. I want a franchise QB not a stop gap. I would watch the Quinn and Anderson battle very closely, cause one of them is not going to stay past next year. I see a Breeze to Saints situation happening.

I would love to keep him as a #2. He does that very well. 2-0 as a backup. Doesn't get any better than that. We're just in the situation that we have 3 backups on our team.

Yo young fan i agree wit you he is one of the highest paid qb in the league but if the steelers were to get kurt warner he most definably be starting kurts reputation as a qb is known well in the league and is take seriously by the oppositions defense. As for alex smith we need to get rid of him cause we been through how many offensive coordinators and none of em can work with him its not them its him i believe hes not putting enough effort into the team. 3 years is no excuse! time is up

thats harsh I dont like how you guys are doggin on alex, how many teams has JTO played for hmm... i dont know 4 or 5? thats for a reason! if martz wasent here either would he, and shaun hill we cut him twice then everyone gets on his nuts when he went 2-0 just like rattay when he came in for duty he went 2-0 as well and everyone was like tim rattay is the answer. Well if Smith can have a steady OC then just maybe we would see consistancy and a different QB.

Doggin on Alex? We're just telling it how it is, bro. Nobody's saying JTO's the next Montana/Young, but he's better than Alex, that's for sure.
When JTO started teh first preseason game i was pissed 'cause i thought he would get the first start, then Shaun would get his turn, then eventually Alex would get teh last games and be named the starter, which would have been just a waste of time taking away from ALex's snaps, but Im glad Nolan stuck to his guns and picked a guy and stuck with him.
Seriously, I get a sick feeling in my stomach when Alex is in there. I feel hopeless. When Shaun and JTO are in there though, they give me some hope that they'll drive it down field and get some points.

well we will see maybe we should trade alex for brady quinn or something, who knows i just think alex has alot of talent and he dosent get to showcase it he hasent even had a legit number one WR.

Dude no one here is on J.T.'s nuts or nothing were just sayin he's better than smith. if smith put more effort in bringing his game up instead of complaining then he'd be worth the 49ers time
